Welcome to the Clean White Page

This site is named for the new page, the perfect blank awaiting wisdom. That page is intimidating and full of possibility. Life is about filling that page as best as you can. Writing is life with ink on it.

Dear Readers

Would you like to be involved more in The Clean White Page?

If I were the piped piper of stories, what music would you like to hear?  For example, Angie recently asked for a camping story, so I wrote The Tigers Come At Night.  I'll be writing a something-under-the-bed story for Robyn. Perhaps you might like a continuation of an existing story?  I have lots of tales waiting in the wings, but I want to know what you guys would like.  Put your requests in the comments.  I warn you, you may not get what you expect!

Tina! I loved that you did the camping story for me and I look forward to seeing what else you come up with as far as future requests go. The under the bed story...oooohhh, that will be creepy for sure! Can't wait!!

Brian, sweet! Idea popcorn popping.

Hmm....I'd love to see you write a seemly random, nonsensical story but its all with a purpose like it portrays some moral like a fable if that makes sense.

Something fairy tale-ish. Campfires, gypsies, goblins and the like.

something with scantally clad girls that slaughter bad guys and um car chases and shit going boom

or a sweet romantic happy ending tale

Hmmm....everything you write is perfect for my tastes! But I might like to read a Firestarter type story, a la Stephen King. Creepy mind creepiness.

You so gifted that I don't think it's too much to ask that you incorporate chocolate (perhaps a curly wurly) in that under-the-bed story..? I'm really, really scared. It would really help! :)

Thanks for mentioning me. I'm honored!

Cheers,
Robyn

Oh how I do love making requests :)
Too many too many...how about something dealing with time travel? and if not I love Jack the Ripper type stories :)

I'm liking the under-the-bed idea. I really liked "The Oak King" and would like to see more of that story.

A ghost story about spectacles, not glasses, spectacles…

That word freaks me out. I'm scared already!!!!!

I've always been a fan of Twilight Zone -type of stories. You know, the ones that seem normal enough, but come with some horrific (or creepy) twist right at the end that changes EVERYTHING... so you need to read the story from the beginning again with new eyes :o)

Hi Tina! Just wanted to say thanks so much for the award :) I actually hadn't logged into my account for over a week due to the ridiculous amount of work I'm doing for my degree at the moment, so didn't see your comment until now! Many thanks though, much appreciated!

A bit off topic I know but I had to stop by to thank you for all the concern you've shown, I can't begin to tell you how much it has meant to me.
I've enjoyed having a catch-up and am glad to have had another instalment of Velvet to come back to. Thanks for my award by the way. Love and best wishes.

Tina, I have to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your heartfelt comments. Josie will not disappoint you. We are going on a visit today. So I will have a new post by tomorrow. Plus I am getting requests for Kitty pictures already. This blogging is more fun than imagined. Now to answer your question. Anything romantic or with a happy ending. Plus if it has a dog or any animal in it, it always helps. Watership Down was always a favorite for me. ;-) But then again, it is always fun to be reading something and have it completely surprise you by the end too. Much love to you! I will definitely be reading your posts day by day. ;-)

I would like you to write a story that includes BACON, A JACK LEMMON POSTER, and CRAZY HAMSTERS.

Get working.......

I'd like a story where someone wakes up in someone else's body and has to somehow navigate their life. Maybe the body's in prison or in some hellish place?

I dunno....

I liked the Velvet stories; but I pretty well like everything you write.

How about a long series on another blog?

What about writing something semi-autobiographical of your own life when you were young?
